<div dir="ltr"><font face="tahoma">Following on from the last DAC meeting and recent discussions about DOIs, I would like to clarify the current situation for all MEDIN DACs with regard to minting DOIs. It was previously thought that is may be possible for
NERC to mint DOIs on behalf of other MEDIN DACs but this is no longer thought possible. An alternative suggestion is to explore whether MEDIN could get its own DOI account so that any DACs that do not currently have the ability to create DOIs themsleves could
benefit from a MEDIN umbrella account (although I do not know yet whether MEDIN would have the required legal status for this).
