<p class="x_MsoNormal">This year marks the 50<sup>th</sup> Anniversary of BODC’s origins and we are organising a special event on Wednesday 8<sup>th</sup> May to celebrate this important milestone. If you are available, we would be honoured if you could join

 us!</p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal">We are planning a fun and informative event that will take a nostalgic look back at the past 50 years, showcasing some of our proudest achievement along the way. We will also be taking a look forward to what the future of environmental

 data management might hold. Crucially, the strong partnerships forged along the way will also be a key focus of our celebrations.</p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal">The event will be taking place in The Bluecoat (<a href="http://www.thebluecoat.org.uk/" id="LPlnk916284" class="OWAAutoLink" previewremoved="true">http://www.thebluecoat.org.uk/</a>) in Liverpool City Centre, rounded off at the venue

 with a drinks reception.</p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal">A core component of our audience will be BODC’s European counterparts, as we are hosting an EU project meeting the same week. I am very keen, however, to ensure that key UK colleagues (especially our MEDIN DAC counterparts) are also invited

 to celebrate with us. </p>
