at the National Oceanography Centre, focusing on ocean research infrastructure. Katy's career has <span class="x_x_xnormaltextrun" style="margin:0px"><span style="margin: 0px; background: white;" class="ContentPasted0">a strong strategic element, and she is
regularly called upon to provide expert advice to the UK Government on ocean issues. Katy is actively engaged with international marine data initiatives including the UN Ocean Decade Data Coordination Group and the World Meteorological Organisation Advisory
Group on Ocean (WMO AG Ocean). With extensive networks across both academic and policy sectors, both nationally and internationally, Katy will bring fresh strategic insight to MEDIN. Katy's tenure as MEDIN Chair will be for five years, aligned with the MEDIN
