public and private sector. A recently published report “A Review of Access to Industry Marine Data” (</span><a href="http://www.gov.scot/Topics/marine/science/MSCC/PSEG"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">http://www.gov.scot/Topics/marine/science/MSCC/PSEG</span></a><span style="font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">)
concludes that UK marine industries are, on the whole, positive about sharing data. However, there are barriers that prevent this happening on a regular basis for some marine industries. In response to recommendations within the report, MEDIN will be holding
this meeting as an open forum to share information, promote collaboration, and ultimately to make the most of the UK’s investment in marine data.
