<div>Dear All,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I am now in the process of building the primary oceanographic resource (a SKOS concept scheme) for NETMAR. Attached is a PDF of the concept scheme, the XML of work so far (V0), plus a spreadsheet with mappings between the NETMAR WPS validation parameter
vocabulary and three orthogonally related facet vocabularies – L05 (instrument types), L06 (platform types) and L131 (Earth layers). These may all be viewed through the client interface at <a href="http://seadatanet.maris2.nl/v_bodc_vocab/welcome.aspx"><font color="#0000FF"><u>http://seadatanet.maris2.nl/v_bodc_vocab/welcome.aspx</u></font></a>.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Any comments (omissions or especially errors) on these mappings between now and the end of the week (deliverable deadline looming!) would be much appreciated. I would particularly appreciate somebody looking at the ‘ice’ parameters as these lie a little
outside my comfort zone.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>To give an idea of what’s possible with the infrastructure we now have in place the attached took a little under 3 days to build.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Cheers, Roy.</div>
<div> </div>

<div>From January 1st 2012 I will be changing to part-time working with a 3-day week from Tuesdays to Thursdays. This inevitably means a reduction in what I am able to achieve, particularly in respect to dealing with e-mail. Please help me keep this under
control by communicating with colleagues who are starting to take over my role wherever possible.</div>
