<div>There are two ICES codes (90AV and 90SG) linked to the name Akademik Sergey Vavilov and both with callsign UKOC. </div>

<div>Ukraine data centre have the name A. Vavilov assigned to code 90AV with CSRs reported from 1957 operated by MB of Ukrnigmi. </div>

<div>Much better known (particularly to polar tourists) is the former Soviet now Russian vessel built in 1988 (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akademik_Sergey_Vavilov"><font color="#0000FF"><u>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akademik_Sergey_Vavilov</u></font></a>)
. The callsign UKOC seems more strongly associated with this ship, but confirmation (from Lloyds?) would be good. </div>

<div>My strong suspicion is that 90AV refers to the MB of Ukrnigmi vessel and the callsign is incorrect and that 90SG refers to the current Russian ship. Before I start editing the ICES entries, does anybody have knowledge or data holdings that confirm or
conflict with this?</div>
