Dear Platform Group,

Additional information has been received by Magnus Danielsen. The IMO number and Build year were incorrect in the last email. NODC should correct this information for the vessel SOLRUN from ICELAND

Code : 46SR
Name : SOLRUN
Flag : ICELAND - IS (ISO Country Code)
Call Sign : TFRY
Platform Class : Fishing vessel
IMO : 5261922
Pennant : EA-351
Commissioned Date : 1994-03-18
Decommissioned Date : 1994-06-15
Current Length : 30.52
Built : 1960
Notes : Fishing vessel chartered for research in 1994: tonnage 194.

General Comments:
Incorrect information: IMO 6614748 from NODC not found in Lloyds but found in web document http://www.sigling.is/lisalib/getfile.aspx?itemid=1961. Built stated as 1966. Incorrect information.
(added by: Marilynn Sorensen - 10/03/2010 00:00:00)

Magnus Danielsen: The data (build 1960) I sent you is correct.
The data you're quoting is for another boat of the same name, but not the same registry number. The company that owned the old one has sold it, but are now managing a boat with the same name and Pennant code, which is not the same one as Marilynn found. That one has also been sold and is operating under a new name.
I'm not sure about IMO numbers, our ships have them, and some of the older ones also, but some of the vessels we've used are to small to warrant an IMO number.
The IMO number for the vessel formerly known as Solrun (now known as Fagriklettur), Registration number 162, is IMO 5261922.

(added by: Marilynn Sorensen - 10/03/2010 00:00:00)

Information supplied by Magnus Danielsen.
(added by: Roy Lowry - 09/03/2010 00:00:00)

This change will need confirmation by NOAA.

Kind regards,
The ICES Data Centre

International Council for the Exploration of the Sea
Email: accessions@ices.dk
Web: http://www.ices.dk

Tel: +45 3338 6718 Fax: +45 3393 4215
H.C.
