General Comments:

Multiple hull rejected. Name changed to Calanus II after OK from oceanography.

IMO Information confirmed in Miramar.
(Marilynn Sorensen 18/04/2013 00:00:00)

Data found for the old Calanus from 1976 under the 18CN code. Therefore, a multiple hull code is needed for these vessels.
(Marilynn Sorensen 18/04/2013 00:00:00)

I noticed that the code 18CN has been created in 2006 for a Canadian ship named "CALANUS". The name is incomplete and therefore ambiguous. The full ship name is "CALANUS II", could you please update it ? It is a medium-sized vessel that is multi-taskable to fishery and oceanographic missions, as well as geological and hydrographic surveys, built in 1991. http://www.marinfo.gc.ca/en/flotte/calanusii.asp
The problem with the current name, "CALANUS", is that it is the name of a 15 m research vessel built in 1948. I don't think it is still used; it doesn't look in very good shape: http://www.flickr.com/photos/24968234@N02/7593900356/lightbox/
Nevertheless we have historical data collected by the "first" CALANUS and more recent data collected by the CALANUS II and we need not confuse them.
Conflict with NOAA. ICES code 18CN name Calanus. NOAA code 18CN name Calanus II
