General Comments:

http://www2.mar.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/science/ships/Documents/SrSciMan.pdf shows call sign CFC5481 for the Matthew but is apparently unofficial. 18M3 and 18MH are the same vessel. 18MH should be used.

http://ftp.funet.fi/pub/dx/text/utility/utility_online.june94 confirms call sign CFC5481
(Marilynn Sorensen 14/03/2014 00:00:00)

Industry Canada has no record of previously mentioned call sign of CFC5481 (personal communication, Feb 24 2014). This ship call sign is and likely always was VOSR.

The ITU database and the Canadian Coast Guard website mention an IMO No of 813730; which is likely not accurate because it has only 6 digits. Wikipedia, vesselfinder, shipspotting, etc.. cite IMO 8806010.
