<br />In working through pending platform requests, US NODC recommends the following resolution for TERMAGANT: use code=74TM for HMS TERMAGANT and do not assign a second code (74TP). 
<br />
<br />US NODC has no data associated to 74TP. All data in US NODC holdings for HMS TERMAGANT (74TM) are from 1953-1954 (not sure of the basis for the reference by Mitch to "WWII data"). US NODC has withdrawn the entry for code 74TP in the US code table (to the best of our ability).

<br />Susanne: Request from Roy Lowry for additional code 74TP HMS TERMAGANT to align with NODC codes. 74TM and 74TP are suspected to be the same ship at NODC.
<br />
<br />Email dated 2006 Nov.28 from Mitch at NOAA: Platforms UK Ship code entries.txt. The TERMAGANT (NODC code74TM) represents WWII data sent to us by the UK navy, so it is likely that it is the HMS TERMAGANT. The HMS TERMAGANT (NODC code 74TP) is likely a duplicate - my co-worker in Syd Levitus' group is out today, so resolution will have to wait.
