<br />Every other USSR/Russian/Ukranian vessel in the system named after a professor has been spelled 'Akademik'.  I strongly suggest we keep to that standard.

<br />1) Lloyds has USSR service for "Akademik M.A.Lavrentyev" from 22 December 1984 to 29 December 1991 with call sign UJFY. 2) Google books has the "Akademik Lavrentjev" in "Russian Marine Expeditionary investigations of The world Ocean" for 1985-1986 with organisation "POI", http://books.google.dk/books?id=Pppob1F7MM8C&pg=RA1-PA115&lpg=RA1#v=onepage&q=Akademik%20Lavrentjev&f=false. 3) POI is Pacific Oceanological Institute in Vladivostok. Web link shows "Akademik M.A.Lavrentyev" data for 1984-1990.
