<br />I think this is one ship with the name incorrectly abbreviated from John to J. when the ship code was set up. There is at least one reference on the internet linking John N. Cobb to the callsign WMVC that does not originate from ICES/NOAA published shipcodes. In my opinion alert should be removed and the name changed.
