<br />This ship was originally requested as ATL COMPASS, but this name could not be confirmed. Instead, the name ATLANTIC COMPASS was found associated with the requested IMO in Miramar, and Equasis. The name ATLANTIC COMPASS was also printed on the hull of the ship. To coordinate with official information sources such as Miramar and Equasis, the name of this ship was changed to ATLANTIC COMPASS, and ATL COMPASS was kept as a synonym.
