<br />This ship was originally requested as CONTI EMDEN, with call sign 9HA3569 and as sailing under the Liberian flag. The call sign 9HA3569 corresponds to the Maltese flag, a combination under which a later instance of CONTI EMDEN sailed, under the same name. The call sign A8IV9 was found to be linked to CONTI EMDEN when it sailed under the Liberian flag. For consistency, two codes were created: 54U3 for CONTI EMDEN sailing under the Liberian flag with call sign A8IV9, and MLFO for CONTI EMDEN sailing under the Maltese flag with call sign 9HA3569.
