Since 2022 the glider has been operated by Institut de la Mer de Villefranche/ALSEAMAR, France, with preference now given to the name SEA041. Glider SEA041 active as of 2022.

<br />Proposed name change following community consultation (with ICES, NOAA, OceanGliders, Ifremer). I believe there is value in retaining a single platform code, but with an update to reflect current preferred name of glider. Supportive metadata added - WMO number and serial number (i.e. SEA041), both of which have been associated with platform since it was commissioned.
