Dear All,
Many thanks for your active participation in the DAC WG meeting in Edinburgh last month.
Whilst we are putting together the minutes from the meeting, there are a couple of urgent actions that need to be completed: these are listed below. Thanks to those who have already completed these for their DAC. For everyone else, please could you:
1. Complete DAC Annual Report for 2014-15. Both the Sponsors Board and Exec Team have requested that the DACs provide as many of the requested statistics as is feasible in their annual report and if possible sub-divide metrics into the following categories according to organisation type: (i) Government departments/agencies; (ii) Commercial Organisations; (iii) Academia/research councils/blue skies research; (iv) Charities/NGOs; (v) General public. Please send your DAC annual reports to me (ljr at bodc.ac.uk<mailto:ljr at bodc.ac.uk>).
2. Access The Crown Estate's Marine Data Exchange and assess which data sets from the Atlantic Array and Argyll Array are relevant to your DAC (i.e. that you would be willing to archive if funding were available). If you have problems in accessing Marine Data Exchange, please let Pete Edmonds or me know. A list of those datasets relevant to your DAC should be provided to Robin McCandliss (robm at bodc.ac.uk<mailto:robm at bodc.ac.uk>).
The timescale for both of these is the end of next week (Fri 24 April). Please let Robin and me know if there are any problems with this deadline. We are compiling the both MEDIN and MEDIN DACs annual report and need to have a draft ready for the MEDIN Exec Team meeting in May.
Many thanks for your help and cooperation.
Best regards,
Lesley
