Hi Clare,

Noone from DASSH is going. I was at the EMODnet Biology kick-off meeting on Tues/Weds and no one mentioned this was going ahead.

Cheers
Dan

Dear MEDIN DAC_WG,
Are you or any of your colleagues planning on attending the EMDOnet workshop in Poole next month?
You'll see that Mike Osborne is an invited participant for the panel discussion.
Thanks,
Clare

Hi Clare

I've accepted an invitation from EMODNet to contribute to the European Maritime Days workshop on industry data on 18-19 May in Poole (see below for details).

I hope to promote MEDIN at the event. Are you aware of anyone else from MEDIN attending?

Best wishes

Dr Mike Osborne

Dear Dr Osborne,

I received your contact details from my colleague Oonagh McMeel from the EMODnet Secretariat.

I am contacting you because we are organising a workshop focusing on challenges and opportunities to engage private sector actors in data collection and data sharing initiatives (see details attached). The workshop will take place at the upcoming European Maritime Days (18-19 May 2017, Poole UK).

For the panel discussion (second part of the workshop), we still have space for 1-2 'invited guests'. I am wondering if you are planning on attending EMD2017 and if so, perhaps you would be interested to join our panel? Aim would be to share your views and experiences in terms of the bottlenecks and possible solutions to involve private sector more closely in collection and sharing of marine observations/data. I think your background/perspectives may complement well the other panel members.

Let me know if you would be interested,

Best wishes,

Jan-Bart
