[Medin_dacwg] MEDIN response to Oil and Gas Authority Consultation

Dear MEDIN DAC Working Group,

The Oil and Gas Authority are currently consulting on proposed regulations for retaining and disclosing samples and data from the oil and gas industry. https://www.ogauthority.co.uk/news-publications/news/2017/proposed-regulations-for-the-retention-and-disclosure-of-information-and-samples/

This has the potential to be a very positive step for making data from the Oil and Gas Industry publicly available.

I would like to submit a response from MEDIN and have drafted a first attempt (attached along with the consultation document). I'd be grateful for any comments. I'm afraid there is quite a quick turnaround needed with this as the deadline is 25th August. In order to give me time to collate responses, please can I have comments by cop 21st August.
