[Medin_dacwg] Urgent request for additional metric

Dear MEDIN DACs,

I've been asked to urgently redo a "Big Data" infographic that had been produced for the refreshed Marine Science Coordination Committee (MSCC) strategy. The MEDIN Executive team suggested that a metric relating to data volume might be more meaningful to a non-specialist audience than one related to number of datasets.

Conscious that you have already spent a lot of time on your annual reporting, can I please ask you to dig out one more figure for me (or your best guess at it if it is difficult to split MEDIN data from other data in your archives).

The statement I would like to include is along the lines of:

"MEDIN provides access to more than XXX TB marine data"

So I am looking for you to provide the volume of data in your MEDIN archive.

Sorry for the urgency but I have a deadline of 11th Sept. If anyone envisages a problem with this, please let me know as soon as possible so I can adapt the infographic.
