Dear MEDIN Working Groups,

I can now confirm that MEDIN will hold its suite of meetings associated with the fourth joint working group meeting (the MEDIN Mega Meeting) on November 20th and 21st 2018 in Edinburgh (exact venue is still to be confirmed).

As planned the mega meeting will be bookended by the regular DAC and Standards Working group meetings, as well as a Historic Environment DAC meeting and a Portal Steering Group meeting. I have decided to postpone the hackathon to later in the financial year.

The draft schedule is:

20th November 10:30-13:00 - Historic Environment DAC Meeting
20th November 13:30-17:00 - DAC Working Group Meeting

21st November 09:00-13:00 - Joint Working Group Meeting (DAC/Standards/Resources and applications/Portal)
21st November 14:00-17:00 - Standards Working Group Meeting
21st November 14:00-17:00 - Portal Steering Group Meeting

Please let me know which of these meetings you plan to attend.

Best wishes,
Clare

Subject: MEDIN Joint Working Group meeting, November 2018

Dear MEDIN Working Groups,

This November, MEDIN will be holding its fourth joint working group meeting (the MEDIN Mega Meeting!) to bring together the expertise from its various working groups to discuss issues that cut across all the groups. I am currently trying to pin down some dates and would be grateful if you could let me know your availability using the DoodlePoll here: https://doodle.com/poll/iwzn4x4863yfmh8i<http://link.e.doodle.com/uni/wf/click?upn=8dNs8i4ZDyStMeI1Sn5r9JSbK59YEKy2D80mjr9TQq74lCUm6MywC-2BMO82GXd3Xr_OQ0LkTYIKXRDUky6rwaEFRr3xLAaUna20n0AqctFxA7XqoSjgqeuF4xzAIfn0MFSsGrjY2F0HuyaEkDpoub-2Fno-2BnjPZlnQKuN7wyjyWBhhL8TpOht6uJpvHk6T5Qk7mXqSFEkhZYDOli32KZXhDCK-2Bo1tCocrrX-2FzxVQQzPQUcTZ3-2FCTpostUB3ELVyk7hp164Kjk9oHzFjlPOWOL94XyATXifNBXkMtGuP-2FWGODf0VDpTGHHdXFA17pJJMrvSXK> .

As in previous years, we hope to bookend the Joint Working Group meeting (the Mega meeting) with the regular DAC and Standards Working group meetings, so I'll try to make sure that this will be feasible with the dates you provide. We also hope to link with the MEDIN hackathon and a historic environment DAC meeting if possible.

Depending on people's availability, the proposed schedule will be:

        am pm
Day 1 MEDIN Hackathon
Day 2 MEDIN Hackathon /
Historic Environment DAC meeting DAC Working Group meeting
Day 3 MEDIN Mega Meeting (DAC, Standards, Resources and Applications, Portal Working Groups) Standards Working Group meeting

Location:
The meeting location is to be determined but will likely be either London or Edinburgh. Please let me know if you have a strong preference.

Best wishes,
Clare
