[Medin_dacwg] MEDIN Joint Working Group meeting

Dear MEDIN Working Groups,
Thanks to all of you who let me know your availability. I can now confirm that MEDIN will hold its fifth Joint Working Group meeting (the MEDIN Mega Meeting!) on the 5th December 2019 from 09:00-13:00, with a networking lunch from 13:00-14:00. This meeting will bring together the expertise from MEDIN's various working groups to discuss issues that cut across all the groups.


As in previous years, the Joint Working Group meeting will be bookended with:

*         the Data Archive Centre (DAC) Working Group meeting on 4th December 2019 from 13:30-17:00 (lunch available from 13:00);

*         the Resources and Applications Working Group on 4th December 2019 from 13:30-17:00 (to be confirmed depending on the availability of the Chair of the group);

*         the Standards Working group meeting on 5th December 2019 from 14:00-17:00;

*         the Portal steering Group meeting on 5th December 2019 from 14:00-17:00.



All meetings will be held in London (at the University of Liverpool in London campus).

Nearer the time, I will ask you to confirm which meetings you plan to attend. In the meantime, please let me know if you have any items that you would like on the agenda for the Joint Working Group meeting.

As in previous years, we hope to bookend the Joint Working Group meeting (the Mega meeting) with the regular Data Archive Centre (DAC) and Standards Working group meetings (and possibly also meetings of the Resources and Applications and Portal groups) , so I'll try to make sure that this will be feasible with the dates you provide.
