Dear MEDIN Partners,
please find below details of a survey being run by the British Geological Survey (BGS), the MEDIN accredited Data Archive Centre for seabed and sub-seabed geology and geophysics. Please take a moment to consider whether the survey is relevant to you or your colleagues and complete the survey if it is.
Best wishes,

Seabed and lakebed coring & drilling survey
BGS Marine Operations have launched a survey<https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/VKGW85G> to gather information from the science community on their requirements for coring and drilling in marine and lake environments. The survey is open to all scientists and researchers, both within BGS and externally, who might need to obtain cores from more than 1m below the seabed or lakebed, or drill more than 1m into the seabed or lakebed. We will use the results to help develop our Marine Operations services and activities to ensure we can continue to meet scientists’ needs.
Please take the time to give us your input<https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/VKGW85G>, and please also send on details of the survey<https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/VKGW85G> to any of your external collaborators that might have relevant input. The survey should take 10 – 15 minutes to complete and it will be open until the Monday 31st August. If you have any questions about the survey then please contact Oliver Peppe<mailto:opeppe at bgs.ac.uk>.
