The Marine Environmental Data and Information Network (MEDIN) is seeking an outstanding new Chair, who can bring strategic leadership, enthusiasm and independent thinking to our Sponsors’ Board and Executive Team at a significant time in our development. As many of you know, this role was previously filled by Prof. Peter Liss CBE, FRS. In June, Peter let me know that he has decided to step down from his role as the Independent Chair of MEDIN. This is to free up some time for his new role as Interim Executive Chair of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). On behalf of MEDIN Sponsors and Partners, I have thanked Peter for his very significant contribution and dedication to MEDIN and its predecessors. I think it is fair to say that MEDIN wouldn't be in such a positive position without Peter's knowledge, insight and perseverance.
