A few things to update you all on:

*       The Data Guidelines review contracts have been let to UNICOMARINE, AFBI and EMU Ltd. They will cover the following guidelines:
Benthic invertebrate sediment sampling by grab or core (UNICOMARINE)
Fish and benthos by trawl or dredge (UNICOMARINE)
Recording of moored instrument data (AFBI)
Recording of water sample data for chemical and biological analysis (AFBI)
Fish and Benthos by Trawl or Dredge (AFBI)
Oceanographic vertical profile data (EMU)
Surface underway oceanographic data (EMU)
Video tow surveys for species or biotopes (EMU)

*       The new version of the metadata editing tool (which includes validation, upload to portal, batch ingest/export and live(ish) links to the controlled vocabs) is on-line at http://www.dassh.ac.uk/medin_metadata/login.php
*       Changes to GEMINI2.1 has been finalised - I will update the MEDIN standard to reflect these changes and what we discussed at the last meeting and circulate hopefully next week
*       Please remember that the next meeting is on the 21st October at JNCC in Peterborough. Details to follow.
*       Lastly we have a 'Standards' break out session at the partners meeting on the 1st September. If anybody would like to come and help run this session please let me know.
