[Medin_standards] Draft Minutes

All,
Please find attached the draft minutes of the last meeting. Any comments back to me within 3 weeks.

1 clarification - we proposed to reduce the obligation for the metadata element 'Date of publication' from Mandatory to Conditional. GEMINI2 mandates that at least 1 of creation, revision or publication date is given. As the date of creation and revision in the MEDIN standard are conditional I propose that I leave the obligation for the date of publication as mandatory to ensure that we meet GEMINI2 obligations. I realise this is not ideal in instances where the dataset has yet to be published but it is stated in the MEDIN guidance document that 'if the resource is previously unpublished please use the date that the resource was made publicly available via the MEDIN network.'

Once the timetable for the INSPIRE conference I will see if there is a suitable break where we can squeeze a MEDIN meeting in while many of us will be in Edinburgh. Else we will have it later in July.
