Hello Tom,
Many thanks for getting back to me.

One of the roles we have in MEDIN is to provide guidance to marine organisations for data collection, preparation  and QC- and we have a guidance note that covers water quality in trawls (which I think is covered in this proposed standard?)

So whilst we may be too late to offer input, might it be possible to have an early sight so we can be sure we're not recommending anything that contradicts EN16260?

I received your query from CSC and would be happy to help if I can. With regards to EN 16260, I can inform you that the draft has already passed through the formal vote stage with results (100% approval) being posted in August. The standard has been endorsed for publication and is currently with production awaiting the ratified text. It is due to publish in mid-December. I realise this is probably not great news if you did want to offer input, but do let me know how you would like to take forward your query,
