MEDIN Metadata and Standards Workshop
Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd March 2013, 9:30 - 16:30

MEDIN is pleased to announce two more dates for the popular MEDIN Metadata Standards Workshops to take place at the National Oceanography Centre, Liverpool.  The dates to choose from for this one day workshop are Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd March.

Location:       National Oceanography Centre,
Joseph Proudman Building,
6 Brownlow Street,
Liverpool,
Merseyside L3 5DA
Directions:     The National Oceanography Centre (NOC), is about 10 minutes walk from Liverpool Lime Street Station.  http://goo.gl/maps/CtOSG.  Please report to reception on arrival, a sign will be clearly displayed in the window.

The workshop will start at 9:30, and run to 4:30pm.  An agenda is attached.  Laptops will be provided.

Lunch and refreshments will also be provided, including vegetarian option.  Please let me know if you have any other dietary requirements.

Aim: To improve the knowledge and use of MEDIN standards and the tools that support them. The workshop comprises a series of talks, demonstrations and practicals to help users become familiar with:
*       The MEDIN discovery metadata standard.
*       MEDIN data guidelines
*       Controlled vocabularies
