[Medin_standards] MEDIN vocabulary proposed update (P231)

Dear Standards Working Group,

Please find attached a proposal for updates to the MEDIN Parameter Discipline Keywords (List P231). There are two parts to the proposal:


1.       The addition of alternative or abbreviated terms for each Keyword

2.       The merger of two Keywords ("Anthropogenic properties" and "Socio-economic and Infrastructure") into one ("Human Influence, Activities and Infrastructure")

I'm keen to hear opinions from any of you about any aspect of the proposal, and especially from users of the Keywords that might be merged ... what would be the implications, good or bad, for your mark-up?

Please respond by 27th March, and use REPLY TO ALL, to include all interested parties in the discussion. Those of you who have no interest in Parameter Discipline Keywords might want to set up an email filter on the subject text of this email, so responses don't fill up your inbox.
