I checked with Paul and Tim if they did mean Gemini 3, and Tim says that this is quite a new development and yes it is likely there will be Gemini 3 (though quite a way off) due to the need for a number of additions (mostly optional) as a result of the Inspire Specs.

Tim can give more details if required
