Subject: priority guidelines for re-formatting
Dear MEDIN Standards Working Group,
At the Standards Working Group (SWG) meeting in March, the Group agreed the priority guidelines to be reformatted throughout 2015-2016 should be:
Marine Litter (now sent out for review)
Sediment and rock characteristics from grab and core (now sent out for review)
Magnetometer data
Shellfish stock assessment data.
At the last SWG meeting, in London in October, there was a discussion about whether the guidelines to be reformatted should be re-prioritised, given the projected timescale to get them all converted to the new format. I was requested to obtain download statistics of the various guidelines to see if this could assist in any potential re-prioritisation.
I have now managed to get access to the download statistics for this year, to date. Below is the list of the guidelines being downloaded which are not yet re-formatted, quantified by number of downloads. Can the Group please inspect this list and compare it to the two remaining guidelines assigned back in March, and come to a decision as to whether a re-prioritisation is necessary, and if so, for which guidelines?
Regards
Sean Gaffney
