[Medin_standards] public view of version 2.3 of UK GEMINI

As you are a member of the MEDIN Standards mailing list, MEDIN would like to draw your attention to the following announcement about UK geospatial metadata. MEDIN has been involved in the work mentioned below and will, over the coming months, be adapting our standard to account for GEMINI 2.3.

"The AGI Standards Committee intended to publish version 2.3 of UK GEMINI in early 2016. Due to delays in Europe and the UK, we are just now at the end of March 2018 launching a public review "release candidate" of GEMINI 2.3. This revision incorporates material prepared by the UK Location Programme, and currently published at data.gov.uk<https://data.gov.uk/location>, and updates it for change requests from INSPIRE and other users.  AGI is grateful to Defra for funding part of this work, and for several AGI members also contributing. The new content is published under a Creative Commons license.
Please review this release candidate GEMINI 2.3<https://www.agi.org.uk/gemini/1249>, and send comments by end of April 2018 to gemini at agi.org.uk<mailto:gemini at agi.org.uk?subject=GEMINI2.3%20Release%20candidate>, copied to Peter Parslow at Ordnance Survey (chair of AGI Standards Committee)."
