Dear Marylnn (and platforms), 

We have been in communication with  the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and would like to request a Chinese ship code for the following research vessel.

RV Ke Xue San Hao 
Research vessel owned and operated by the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOCAS).  Built 28 July 2006, length 73.90m, callsign BBNF.  This vessel is also known as Kexue-III but the name Ke Xue San Hao is written on the hull.  IMO Number 9391892.

With regard to the IOCAS research vessel Ke Xue San Hao please note the English translation of the ship name is Science 3 and she is also known by this name (as well as Kexue III).
