Hi Marilynn,

I have more confidence in 8427034 for three reasons.  First it is also the IMO listed in the URL Lesley gave (http://e-ships.net/index/K4.shtml).  Secondly, there seems to be an approximate relationship between IMO and date of build and from what I’ve seen IMOs larger than 9,000,000 are associated with ships built in the 1990s.  Thirdly, the information on digital.seas seems very sparse, which gives me concern about its authenticity.

The code 76KE with name Kexue #1 from China has also been identified as the Ke Xue Yi Hao. The name has been changed. There is still a question on the IMO number since Lloyds says 8427034 while digital.seas says 9475610. Can someone help with this?
