Can any of our Russian contacts provide and information on the formerly Soviet Union (until end of 1991) now Russian research vessel RV Jakov Smirnitskiy (sometimes spelled Yakov Smirnitskiy, Yakov Smirnitsky, or Jakov Smirnitsky)?
