I followed up the IMO and as soon as I saw the photos I recognised the ship as the original RV Prince Madog operated by UCNW from 1968-2001 (ICES code 74PD<http://vocab.nerc.ac.uk/collection/C17/current/74PD>). She may have been repainted, but she is still recognisable. This conclusion is supported by http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=2386073.
