[Seavox] Geographic limits of the continents

Dear All,

I work at BODC on the shapefile version of the SeaVoX Salt and Fresh Water Body Gazetteer.

I am trying to extend the polygon shapefile data set to include the geographic limits of the continents (defined in SeaVoX as: Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, South America, North America and Antarctica)

Can anyone recommend an authoritative source for the geographic limits of the continents (digital if possible)?

Any advice would be really welcome.
