Hi Karen,
I wasn't aware of it, but it's headed straight into my reference collection! It's just so well-suited to vocabulary work.
I'll use it to check out the proposed new terms and report anything I find to the list. HOWEVER, I did notice that littoral was considered synonymous with intertidal. Any other opinions on the upper boundary of littoral? I'll also check to what CEFAS have to say.

Hi Roy,
I suspect you are already well aware of it, but FWIW the Coastal Marine Ecological Classification Standard has some discussion/definition of terms applying to the littoral/intertidal and deeper regions, from a biological perspective. http://www.csc.noaa.gov/digitalcoast/publications/cmecs
