Hi all -
I just downloaded L22 for use of instrument names in a data
catalog we're building. I picked up vers 115; the date stamp is
2013-03-01 02:00:04.0.
We're planning to tag data sets with the altLabel field from this
vocabulary, and I notice that there's a slight inconsistency in the
syntax for some of our most common SeaBird instruments:
...
<skos:altLabel xml:lang="en">SBE 53 BPR</skos:altLabel>
<skos:altLabel xml:lang="en">SBE 911 CTD</skos:altLabel>
<skos:altLabel xml:lang="en">SBE911+ CTD</skos:altLabel>
<skos:altLabel xml:lang="en">SBE 917 CTD</skos:altLabel>
<skos:altLabel xml:lang="en">SBE917+ CTD</skos:altLabel>
<skos:altLabel xml:lang="en">SBE35</skos:altLabel>
<skos:altLabel xml:lang="en">SBE38 TS</skos:altLabel>
<skos:altLabel xml:lang="en">SBE3P temperature sensor</skos:altLabel>
<skos:altLabel xml:lang="en">SBE45 MicroTSG</skos:altLabel>
<skos:altLabel xml:lang="en">SBE4C conductivity sensor</skos:altLabel>
...
with 7 entries (out of 27) having no space after the 'SBE'.
Is this something that should be or could be standardized?
Thanks - Nan Galbraith
