Dear colleagues,
A short notice to make you aware of 2 small changes to the two P02 concepts covering dissolved and particulate trace metalloids in water bodies.
A few months ago MDWD was broadened to include selenium in its definition but the preflabel was not changed. This has now been updated so that selenium is now explicitly named in the preflabel as thus: "Dissolved trace metalloid and inorganic selenium concentrations in water bodies".
As part of this exercise we also decided to broaden the meaning of the MDWP to include inorganic selenium species so that the preflabel for MDWP is now: "Particulate trace metalloid and inorganic selenium concentrations in water bodies".
Concentrations of organoselenium species in water bodies remain mapped to the P02 term DMST ("Organosulphur and organoselenium species concentration parameters in water bodies").
Best regards,
Gwen.
