Alex,
It sounds a reasonable idea but not just yet. When Amrit Chandra gets here we'll probably draw up a wishlist to be prioritised along with outstanding items. It requires colour ramps. The concept is relatively straightforward but I'm worried about code complexity issues. Do we need a separate page, etc.?

Hi Steve,

The bin-locking and the different colours for different bins started me thinking about using the colours to generate a pseudo-section. We can now plot all the bins for all series for one channel together with the colours differentiating the different bins...but what if we could use the colours to plot the data values?? So, e.g. for ADCP data we could generate a "smartie" plot, which if we had the different bins close enough, would look like a pseudo-section. We would just have to assign colours to a data range, which I'm assuming could be easily done on the min/max ranges expected for a particular parameter. I think this might be particularly useful for ADCP data as we could theoretically do all the initial screening with just one plot for each channel..

Just a thought...

This update should enable bin-locking! To see it you will haveto restart Edserplo.
