Sean,
To get round the problem for now I think you have to borrow somebody else's machine. Also we need to put some diagnostics in the program and run it on your machine. In other words it looks as if it is a machine-cum-file-based problem rather than just a file-based problem. It may also have something to do with NFS so another thing you can try is to copy the file to the C: drive.

Hi Steve,
i've tried it with a driver file (/users/sdb/pd18_05/drv) and just opening the individual file
(/users/sdb/buds/pd18_05.qxf) and I get the same error message each time.
I've tried opening a newer qxf file (/users/sdb/pd25_06/drv) and it seemed to work fine.
Sean.

We have hit this problem before (Buzilla 242) but seemingly in special situations (i.e. it doesn't seem to affect everybody). But we have yet to investigate thoroughly - for that reason. Try a driver file and see whether it's still there.

I'd like to know if the driver file approach works.

Hi Steve,
I'm trying to open the following file in EDSERPLO
L:/users/sdb/buds/pd18_05.qxf
The driver file is /users/sdb/pd18_05/uway/drv
However, when I try and open the file, I get the following error message:
Unable to read:
SerplotErrorTracer::Trace File c:\EDSERPLOsgaf.ERR Created
File does not exist:
Aborting because of input error(s)
Suggestions greatfully received!
Sean.
