We've been working on licensing issues. Also the 'w' command for cycle channel display has been added and I've had a go at making the TASK format work as intended (the numeric flag column was always set zero but now reflects the nullity of dependent channels as it should).
Edserplo 2.0 is the exportable version of the program. The byte code is not obfuscated - yet - but when it is the program will be made available to NIO, Goa.
Liz, I have set up your database connection under Linux and I've left a hard copy of the instructions for the PC on your desk.
Some design work has been done on supporting the programme of accelerated user flagging. Simon Parr is due the week after next so we need to make progress on this. Mike has indicated that the requirements document is still being worked on.
I need somebody to work on ironing out some of the problems with the logging system - as we haven't captured the problem yet and NFS may be with us a little while longer - so he may start with that.

I append Jon's notes on the 'w' command.
I believe I have this working now, though it had to be attached to 'w' not
CTRL+'v' due to problems getting java to differentiate between 'v' and
CTRL+'v'.
The final behaviour is as follows...
1st press of 'w': All selected channels that are not already present are
inserted into the data-cycle window
2nd press of 'w': All channels that were inserted by the 1st press are removed
leaving only the channels that were added using 'V' before the 1st press
If 'V' is used to remove a channel between the 2 presses of 'w' the
functionality reverts to its original state... i.e. the 2nd press of 'w' will
only add the channels that are not already present, not remove those added by
the 1st press
The window will become scrollable if its width exceeds that of the parent
window, or if the user resizes it manually... I haven't been able to get the
window to note the difference between its automatic resizing and the user
resizing it manually, so if the size is set manually it will be automatically
resized the next time a channel is added or removed (or if the user switches
pages)
