Hi Keiran,

Given the amount of time you will have to dedicate for the drafting team it may be best to register MyOcean as an SDIC (only takes about 1 hour). Our understanding is that people on the drafting teams will have to dedicate 15-30 days per year and a minimum of 4 meetings per year for a total of 2 years. .... and all for 0 cost to INSPIRE!

INSPIRE have also indicated that some of the themes may be merged and considered together. Oceanographic Features and Sea Regions would seem like good candidates but who knows what will be decided!

Hi Mark,

I have actually got some time and money allocated as part of MyOcean to look at the development of INSPIRE specs, so I will be putting my name forward for OceanFeatures.  At present I am not sure if MyOcean is an SDIC.  As a fallback, is MEDIN an SDIC that could forward my nomination?

It would be good if someone from UKHO/Seazone puts their name forward for Sea Regions - Mike/James?

Is anybody (or does anybody know of anybody) who is putting themselves forward as an expert for the drafting teams for any of the INSPIRE Annex 3 Data Specifications (e.g. oceanographic features, sea regions, species distribution, habitats and biotopes?). We would preferably have some strong links to the drafting of these. The deadline for nomination is the 14th December.
