Hi Marilynn,
as I already kind of thought, its just two vessels with three callsigns.
I would suggest as with WH 1-3
06PL is designated as multiple hulls.
06P1:
<name>Planet</name><callsign>DSCZ</callsign><class>research
vessel</class><commissioned>1967-04-15</commissioned>
<decommissioned>1981-12-31</decommissioned><notes>Length 80.6m.Owned by
the German Navy Research Institute (FWG), Kiel. Same ship as 06P2,
change of callsign.</notes>
06P2:
<name>Planet</name><callsign>DRAY</callsign><class>research
vessel</class><commissioned>1982-01-01</commissioned>
<decommissioned>2004-03-31</decommissioned><notes>Length 80.6m.Owned by
the German Navy Research Institute (FWG), Kiel. Same ship as 06P1,
change of callsign.</notes>
06P3:
<name>Planet</name><callsign>DRLA</callsign><class>research
vessel</class><commissioned>2005-05-31</commissioned>
<notes>Length 73m.Owned by the German Navy Research Institute (FWG),
Kiel.IMO 9245732.</notes>
If not the codes, I hope given you some more details. I also hope there
are not any data from the very first Planet (1905-1914), but that could
be then 06P0..
Best regards
Friedrich
