Dear All,

We're starting to get CSRs from small vessels that have pennant numbers (numbers painted on the ship's side), but no name.  I can see two ways of handling this situation:

(1) Set the name to 'Inapplicable' and the pennant number to the appropriate number
(2) Set both name and pennant number fields to the pennant number

My vote goes for (2) for purely pragmatic reasons - it's always more convenient if will can differentiate entities on the basis of the 'name' field.

If anyone has any other ideas or thoughts then let me know.
