 Dear All,

The L22 vocabulary includes sampling devices. As part of the work of the IODE Group of Experts on Chemical and Biological data Mary Kennedy from DFO in Canada has assembled the attached catalogue of specific types of net, largely based on converting the information in a paper by Wiebe and Benfield (2003) into a vocabulary-accessible form.

This impressive piece of work has been offered for publication through the L22 vocabulary and I propose loading it up when I return from travels on September 26. BODC will then link the entries to the SeaDataNet L05 vocabulary via a mapping.

Cheers, Roy.
